Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical Site Investigation
A geotechnical site investigation is the process of collecting information and evaluating the conditions of a site design for either construction of the foundation (e.g. buildings, industrial plants, roads and bridges) or evaluation of slopes to protect infrastructure (e.g. railways, roadways, pipelines and transmission lines). At Sola Engineering, we develop comprehensive ground models, starting with data collection, desktop studies and geological assessments. This work is augmented through site investigations that utilize in-situ testing, stability and seepage analyses, deformation analyses and groundwater modelling. We believe that excellent planning and proper management of geotechnical site investigations are the keys to obtaining sufficient site information in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Geotechnical Report
Sola’s geotechnical report explains site conditions and construction recommendations for designing roadways, bridges and buildings (to be incorporated into other infrastructure designs and risk assessments).
Our experts interpret site investigation findings to provide advice and customized solutions that address the project’s specific engineering and construction requirements, as well as potential impacts to the site and surrounding area.
